Form Letters

Need to provide an easy way to make and send form letters.

Automated Survey Handling

Elected officials (and possibly our members) should be able to fill in surveys and have the data automatically posted into the wiki.

Needs to be able to handle some kind of token so it can be mailed off and reduce the chances of someone other than the representative (or their staff) filling it in.

Report to the moderator button

An idea I have seen at other forums is a "report this post to moderator" button that appears with the other buttons in every post. It opens a form which dispatches a (private) message to all the moderators.

Any member can use it to report a post way over the line (spam, personal attacks, etc). One example is the DVD Talk forum which has a LOT of message traffic per day, lowering the probability that a moderator would automatically notice every bad post. The members help with the patrolling. I'm not sure we have the traffic to need it now, but it does help to clean up board problems faster.

Better private message handling

Should be able to handle private messages as forums similar to the main boards and invite any number of people into a conversation (basically, private boards).

This is particularly useful for moderators so we can contact the user who's out of line and all the other moderators at the same time. Also useful for getting two quarreling users and all the moderators on the one board to discuss an issue.
